I have always engaged in creative practices growing up, however I really reconnected with my art during the pandemic. This was a way for me to connect with nature, connect with others, express myself and supported my wellbeing. I am always inspired by my surroundings including the beautiful landscapes of the Dandenong Ranges and the local flora and fauna. I enjoy exploring new places, taking photographs and then recreating these places and feelings on the canvas. Painting brings me a sense of peace and gratitude. I experiment with the variety of techniques and mediums. I primarily work with acrylic painting and I love to use bright and bold colours and textures to create abstract pieces.
